My name is Katherine im new at this anyways i have a question its about prayer if i missed fajr can i pray it when i wake up lets say i wake up at 7 or 8am can i perfom it?
No you must pray fajr on time. In fact there is an authentic hadith which very clearly explains the importance of fajr.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said: “The most burdensome prayers for the hypocrites are salaat al-’isha’ and salaat al-fajr, but if they only knew what they contain, they would come even if they had to crawl.” (Reported by Imaam Ahmad, al-Musnad, 2/424; Saheeh al-Jaami’, 133).
Subhannallah, fajr is so important that the people who miss fajr (and isha) are referred to as hypocrites. It is easy to pray duhur, asr and maghrib as we are already awake and they are in the day. However, it takes devotion, love and fear of Allah swt to wake yourself up from your sleep and rest to prostrate to Allah swt.
It is a very important prayer and inshallah you can sacrifice 15 to 20 minutes of sleep to wake up and fulfill your obligations. We should all be grateful to Allah swt and to not just believe in him but to put it into practice.
“Whoever prays fajr is under the protection of Allah. Do not put yourselves in a situation where Allah has to call you to account for your negligence.” (Reported by al-Tabaraani, 7/267; Saheeh al-Jaami’, no. 6344).
