Wa alaykum assalam
Mashallah what a beautiful greeting, if you know what it means.
Stuff like that makes me happy.
Happiness comes by giving others mercy as the quran says were were to be to all the nations.
Ultimately, it comes from observing and applying the words of the god.
For me, that would mean completing my deen with a muslimah was wanted to better herself in islam.
I know that's the case for me, because when I lost what I thought I had... by the god was I unhappy.
The Noble Quran - Ta-Ha 20:130
So you be patient on what they say, and praise/glorify with your Lord's praise/gratitude/thanks, before the sun's ascent/rising, and before its decline/setting , and from the night's hours so praise/glorify, and the daytime's ends/edges, maybe/perhaps you accept/approve/pleased.

Those who believed and find satisfaction their hearts/center/intelligence in the remembrance of allah. No doubt, in the remembrance of Allah find satisfaction in the hearts/center/intelligence
It's a deep question.

Walaykum salaam, hope your well too
I've been through quite a difficult time over the last 2 years. I'm trying to better myself and just thinking about making myself a better person makes me happy. I am hoping that the Holy Month of Ramzaan will help me to become spiritually strong and in turn this will lead to true happiness Insha'Allah.
Other than religion, things that make me happy include: spending time with family, studying for my degree, helping people, taking the time to stay in touch with people and forgiving others.

Masha'Allah Saba you have a great attitude because sometimes when people go through hardships, you just tend to give up and not bother...
As Allah mentions that with every hardship comes ease...its all about keeping strong and sticking to your Lord.
As long as you got your Family, Friends but most Importantly you FAITH... trust me you find happiness like this...saying that, there is a book called The Legacy of the Prophet by Ibn Rajab Al Hanbali and I'm reading it at the moment, and you realise that as long as you keep you Lord in your Heart, you will always be content

Assalaam Madz
Firstly, thanks for the compliment. I know what you mean about people going through hardships and giving up, because for a little while that was me unfortunately. However, thankfully I did manage to snap out of it quite quickly and realised that everything happens for a reason and whatever happens, happens for the best. I'm not the most religious person in the world and I do (like everyone else) have my flaws however, I'm hoping that Ramzaan will be the start of a much more postive and religious life for me and for others InshaAllah.
Many thanks for the book recommendation sounds great and I will definately be buying it InshaAllah

Happiness is freedom.
The ability to express who you are whilst ignoring negative views.
Having a positive take on even the worst situations.
Turning frowns upside down.
"Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort." - Franklin D Roosevelt

Surely, the month of Ramadhan has been named so because it scorches away the sins. - Prophet Mohammed (saw)
