What did you think of the whole drama with the Quran burning? They didn't end up being burned, but what should've been the correct response?
One of the 9/11 relatives has said that she doesn't think the Quran should be burned but she doesn't think the mosque should be established either.

Re: Burn The Quran?
All I know is that I refer to the quran before someone tries to deny me the right of the quran.
The correct response is from the quran itself.
Quran 17:9 "This Reading (Quran) guides to the best path, and brings good news to the believers who lead a righteous life, that they have deserved a great recompense."
Quran 31:19 "Walk humbly and lower your voice, the ugliest voice is the donkey's voice."
Quran 41:34 "Not equal is the good response and the bad response. You shall resort to the nicest possible response. Thus, the one who used to be your enemy, may become your best friend."
Quran 73:10 And remain steadfast in the face of their utterances, and disregard them in a nice manner.
And we have to say as in the following:
10:104 Say, "O people, if you are in doubt as to my religion - then I do not worship those which you worship besides the god; but I worship the god, who causes your death. And I have been commanded to be of the believers
29:46 Do not argue with the people of the book except in the nicest possible manner - unless they transgress - and say, "We believe in what was revealed to us and in what was revealed to you, and our god and your god is one and the same; to Him we are submitters."
25:63 "The servants of the Almighty are those who tread the earth gently, and when the ignorant speak to them, they only utter peace."
17:38 All bad behaviour is condemned by your Lord.
One (aye) could always speak about James 3:9-12 and Luke 6:45 and link it to how it's easy to destroy but hard to create things.

Re: Burn The Quran?
This just gets me a mad thing you know. Someone posted a video on facebook of some american ripping the pages out and burning it. Theres so many youngers out there who are falling in the trap of becoming brainwashed and that clip alone just encouraged a whole group of young muslim boys somewhere to adopt fundamentalist ways of thinking. We should Prepare for the backlash now

As Lupe Fiasco put it..
"If they burn a book, have no worries. The book will feel NO pain so neither should you! True destruction of the Qur'an cannot be done with fire; it is destroyed when we fail to remember & practice its lessons in our daily lives. If this occurs, then it is ANOTHER fire that you should truly be concerned about!"

Re: Burn The Quran?
Tthe guy said some wise words... pretty much summed it up... And to be honest, if any type of people are destroying the Quran, we really need to kinda look in the mirror and realise that its us that need to fix up... Because how much do we actually implement it in our daily lives? A book, a miracle, a guide to everything you need to know...
Yeh they said they gonna burn our Qur'an... but really and truely are we kinda fading it out ourselves? How many of us have actually read the entire Quran and what our Lord has to say to us? My head is already down in shame because I ain't one of them and it is a BIG shame,
Exactly... we are so ignorant ourselves... subhan'Allah look at the ayahs posted by Ummer..imagine if we all implemented that...
But no...our people go nuts and start wrapping palestinian scarves around their faces and start doing all sorts....all so we can watch em over the news, along with the rest of the World...

Surely every test, is a test from Allah.
It's not so we can watch it on the news. Yes, they commit the sins and are fooled. But aren't we bigger fools for knowing that The Book is a guide but not standing up to it? Do we stand up to anything as a community?
Not even things like terrorism within people that label themselves as Muslims. We barely address things within, for example sexuality, drug abuse, mental health etc.

Our people?
Quran 9:101 And among those around you of the bedouin (travellers probably) are hypocrites, and from the people of the city. They persist in hypocrisy. You, don't know them, we know them. We will punish them twice; then they will returned to a big punishment.
Ultimately speaking... there are many dodgy people out there.
I rather not put that video of that example...
Better give an example from the ant.
quran 6:38 “There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered”
If you do a google search for "ants are like humans", you get plenty of articles where the ant is much like the human.
here's a more reasonable example from the ant:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ant_mimicry
"Some spiders (e.g. Zodariidae or some Myrmarachne) use their ant disguise to hunt ants, although most use their disguise to escape predators. In salticids, the latter can be discerned from the ants from the movements they make in order to keep the ants at an acceptable distance. Ant hunters often do not resemble ants as much."
If I knew what documentary I saw it in, where the fake ant would go into the ant burrow and try to take out as many larvae of the ants and instead put it's larvae and let the ants look after it.
Anyway, the quran tells us we have to find out if someone is not a muslim.
"O you who believe! When you go abroad in allah's cause, investigate carefully, and don't say to any one who offers you a greeting: "You aren't a believer!"..." (4:94)
The above being a side note to the quran burning question.

Allah is the greatest, allah's plans are the greatest plans.
(from the surah "the ants"
27:50 And they planned a plan, and We planned a plan, while they perceived not.
Subhanallah.
Though we might have all these issues, the arabs of mecca were worse! They used to marry their mothers, burry their daughters, fight and kill like bloody hell... at least when people in our society, when we do wrong, at least we have feel bad aboutt it. The meccan arabs of the prophets time, they were so bad it seemed like they enjoyed it. Ultimately, even those people didn't want to live like that, they were given a hope of something better, something peaceful. Inshallah, we'll get that too.
But... then again we let the quran be burried like corpses on high shelves, at least this guy was about to set it alight so that everyone would gilmpse at the quran. And I don't think one man in the middle of no where could get so much attention on his own unless without the god's power. Inshallah at least more people would have heard of the quran and gone "quran? What's that all about?".
