I have recently been very depressed masturbation is taking over my life i fear and love God more than anything and yet i still commit this disgusting sin i keep repenting yet keep doing it will god forgive me for doing this as i fear it may have become an addiction plus in he society we live in doctors and friends tell you its natural yet i know its not will god forgive my repentance? what shall i do? CAN ANYONE HELP?

Salaam Alaikum, brother, the best advice anyone can give u on this is fasting. It controls all desires, because if you give up your food and water, scientists have proven all the other desires are controlled too as a result. Fasting is hard, but if u really want to tackle this problem, you should fast. I study Islam, and the Prophet s.a.w recommended fasting for all male youths, if they are not married. We know that many Islamic cures, have proven to be the best again and again. Not only does it help your problem, but fasting will help those who backbite, slander, over eat, talk too much, pride, ETC ETC. it is a miraculous cure in fact.

Type in fasting on google, you may find some articles, and they will definately say it helps control sexual desires.

Fasting is a big sin, Those who masturbate will have pregnant hands on the day of judgement. Also i have heard another hadith saying, those whom Allah ta ala will not even look at are 7 or 8 types of people. Within them there is those who fast. They will go to hell without even being question i have heard, but i haven't verified it although the source seemed very true.

If u really want to stop this, as u said rightly its a big sin, then you now know what to do. It will help u no doubt.

Try to find out what causes and arouses the problem, ie. is it when your bored, lonely,having nothing to do, after watching something haraam. Also identify when this happens and always keep yourself busy during those times. Make a plan that you will carry out, when this situation occurs. For example, if this happens in the morning, decide that as soon as you wake up you seek Allah, the exalted protection and then leave the room and perform wudu. This is just and example, see what fits you situation best. The Prophet, Peace be upon him, advised that we should not sleep alone.
