I think the topic of socializing with the opposite sex is something that needs to be dealt with carefully. If one were to say it's haram, end of. Then wouldn't this be haram? Both male and female members are interacting? One is required to maintain social hijab online as well as in reality, no?
Having said that, of course it's haram to participate in lustful relationships within all schools of thought... but where the line is drawn is a whole different issue.

Re: Crushes
That's why I tend to avoid boys in general, except when I have to talk to them because of schoolwork or something important.
If a boy tries to talk to me, I try to make as much small talk as possible. I hope I'm doing the right thing.

LOL I remember the crushes I had when I was younger and when your older you'l laugh at yourself for thinking what you saw in them. Dont act on it, 9 times out of 10 theyre never what you think theyre going to be like. Let it be until your older when you'l realise how to treat a man and find a man that knows how to treat a woman

It'd be highly abnormal for one not to have a crush.

Re: Crushes
I guess you can't really do much about dumb crushes then lol.
In the meantime, I'll just make dua that I'll get over them quickly. And about me being embarrassed about my previous crushes, I'm embarrassed already about my current ones! Man, I must have bad taste haha!

Not really, you get Asexuals. People who do not have any desire for a sexual relationship and never have feelings for any sex...

Re: Crushes
Yeah, but that's uncommon. Most people in the world today have crushes at some stage in their lives.

Re: Crushes
The reason you should avoid facebook stalking, is because clearly your crushes are being triggered through lust. The last thing you want to be doing is keep setting yourself off
, by viewing guys that take your fancy, which will undoubtedly turn into viewing girsl they like and then you conciously comparing yourself to them. It annoys me when I see so many young girls now at the age of 13/14 already starting to dye their hair. Also just look on facebook, the number of girls taking a picture of themselves and trying to grab attention has become a habit for girls everywhere, since when did they take pictures of each other in the bathroom, how trashy. They all want to receive comments on how beautiful they look, to be compared to everyone else's beautiful pictures. I am not saying taking pride in your appearance is a bad thing, but facebook seems to have brought out the worst in girls. I hardly go shopping, but just this week I was out and about and I was shocked to actively hear every song in the shops about BF/GF and looking sexy, it clear the extent this society brain washes you into looking a certain way, everyone is becoming a clone of the girl you see on tv or in fashion magazines. Even they are paid to look like that, so its sad that girls think the only way to get a guy to like them is to behave like that and objectify yourself. From a males perspective, a girl with a happy countenance perfectly content in her own skin, radiating happy vibes is just as appealing as a size zero model. Islam teaches us to care for our bodies and eat sensibly, if you follow Islam properly you won't get obese, be in a happy state of mind physically and mentally, lead a more active life style and be aware of all the traps that are out there that make you behave in a "socially acceptable" way, when really religiously whether you wish to admit it or not they are harming your own inner peace and soul. Crushes will pass away, if you just turn away from all the other trigers that are out there in society.
